MEET  OUR FOUNDER

Charles Jones is one of the top human services and workforce development executives in the nation’s capital. A passionate senior manager and thought leader in returning citizen affairs, Jones’ 24-year record is dotted with multiple awards, national recognition, and accomplishments that have altered tens of thousands of lives.

Prestigious awards have feted Jones individually and applauded the programs in his portfolio. One hailed his exceptional leadership and remarkable dedication, proclaiming that he represents the absolute “best in public service.” A federal agency awarded Jones for “significant contributions” toward the goals of enhanced public safety, crime prevention, and reduced recidivism.

Across his career, Jones has managed multi-million dollar budgets aimed at assisting those who face persistent barriers to employment. He is directly responsible for helping an estimated 28,000 people reenter the workforce — allowing immeasurable sums of employee wages and revenues to flow back into the U.S. economy. Toward these goals, he has fostered strategic and innovative partnerships with key government, business and charitable entities. Furthermore, he has implemented two first-of-their-kind programs in the District of Columbia. By helping innumerable at-risk citizens, Jones’ work has improved the lives of countless large communities.

Throughout, Jones’ work and passion as an executive, manager and therapist has had one overarching vision: to provide ecosystems of opportunity and an infinite network of support to some of the most vulnerable populations.

Jones completed an Executive Leadership Program at the George Washington University, earning a credential for excellence in municipal management. He also earned a certified public manager credential from the university. Jones received a Bachelors in Business Management from Morgan State University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. He is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

An accomplishment that is especially satisfying to Jones. As a youth, he struggled with stuttering, a speech disorder characterized by repeated syllables or words, extended sounds, and speech interruptions. Though years of therapy helped, Jones believes he truly overcame his speech impediment when he discovered his passion for helping others.

Jones and his wife Katrina reside in Washington D.C. with their son Lamar, who attends Hampton University.
